Facility Power
Dual 400 amp 3 phase electrical services provide power to our servers. Durring transition to a generator power system, APC UPS provide supplemental power. The 300kw facility generator has a 1 week diesel fuel supply.
Facility Environment
Security/Fire Detection: A facility monitoring system detects fire and any unauthorized persons on premises. The monitoring system automatically alerts appropriate authorities and staff in the event of an intruder or fire.
Climate Control: Facility cooling system consists of 6 5-ton AC units distributed throughout the Data Center with 2 additional backup AC units, thus providing a redundant system to keep EJW servers cool even in the middle of summer.
Floor: Industry standard anti-static raised flooring.
Facility Connectivity
Internet backbone: Our servers reside in a data center with a dedicated Metro Fiber SONET ring, allowing interconnection with any Tier-1 Carrier to apply Tier-1 bandwidth to our servers. The facility interconnects with other networks, including SPRINT, ATT, MCI, and BellSouth through a fiber NAP (Network Access Point) in downtown Atlanta. This enables bandwidth acquisition at very aggressive pricing, and pass-along savings on to our customers.
Network Equipment: Our data center uses state-of-the-art routers and a combination of Intel, Cisco and Lucent switching technology. A combination of American Power Conversion (APC) and Compaq equipment is used for our Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. 3Com Communications enables Voice-Over IP (VoIP) technology. |
